OPINION DIAGNOSTICS' THIRD YEAR
OPINION DIAGNOSTICS' THIRD YEAR
March 20, 2026
Dear Friend,
Today marks the third anniversary since I launched Opinion Diagnostics, and what a three years it’s been! We've had the opportunity to work with more than 180 clients, including Congressional leadership, statewide and federal office holders, multiple Fortune 500 corporations, and nationally recognized nonprofits.
While much of our polling and market research work is held privately, some of my favorite public highlights from the past year include:
Our June 2025 public opinion research surrounding the Karen Read Trial, which surveyed the population of eligible jurors the night of the verdict and received extensive national media coverage. One key finding was that only 4% believed the District Attorney who prosecuted the case deserved re-election; he subsequently announced his retirement.
In December, we released data showing that North Carolina Senate Leader Phil Berger was losing his primary to opponent Sheriff Sam Page. Berger allies attempted to discredit our research - however, despite spending over $10 million (you read that right) on a legislative primary and receiving a Presidential endorsement, Berger lost by 23 votes out of 26,250 cast.
Earlier this month, we conducted a poll focusing on government transparency in Massachusetts, which showed residents' demand to audit the state legislature has grown to 82%.
Other public releases this year include work on education policy, congressional redistricting, regulation of retail products, transportation policy, and the Massachusetts gubernatorial election.
None of this work would be possible without our great team, especially Opinion Diagnostics Partner Patrick Sebastian.
If you and your organization need help with survey research and polling, data analytics and predictive modeling, or with developing and measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, please reach out!
Our team will be growing in year four. We are looking to add two talented professionals; the ideal candidates will have technical knowledge and the expertise to advise clients, while also driving sales. Resumes are always appreciated!
Looking forward to a great year four!
